Winter Warmer Wine Tasting Event

Berks County Wine Trail is sharing the warmth to ward off winter’s cold. Our Winter Warmer Wine Tasting Weekend is coming, January 20th and 21st. Leave winter at the doorstep of our cozy winery locations and enjoy featured wines with samples of hot soups and other comfort-inspired pairings.
Bundle up and take a self-guided tour of the frosty Berks County area winter landscapes from noon until 5:00 both days. Winter Warmer is a free sampling event; no reservations or tickets needed for the featured pairing at each winery. Note, most wineries charge a tasting fee for their full wine list. Enjoy the following pairings at each of the wineries on the trail:
*Blue Mountain Winery (New Tripoli) – TBD
*Bouchette Winery (Bethel) – Butternut Squash Bisque paired with mulled Apple wine
*Deerfoot Winery (Shoemakersville) – The crowd favorite Bacon Corn Chowder will return this year
*Kog Hill Winery (Morgantown) – Beef Stew will be paired with Cab Sauv, and our Corn Crab Chowder will be served with Gewürztraminer
*Long Trout Winery (Auburn) – French onion soup paired with a dry red, gumbo made with hot pepper wine.
*Lilys Vineyards and Winery (Reading) – Lilys Vineyard will be featuring Chicken Noodle Soup
*Manatawny Creek Winery (Douglassville) – Winter Warmth wine heated up with snickerdoodle bar.
*Ridgewood Winery (Birdsboro) – We will be pairing a hot Mac&Cheese dish with one of our wines
*Setter Ridge Vineyards (Kutztown) – Hot Chocolate Sangria paired with dark chocolate covered graham cracker from Repperts Candies
*Stonekeep Meadery and Wine Cellars (Blandon) – Butternut Squash paired with our Apples and Pears Mead and Gewürztraminer.
*Stoudts County Winery (Shartlesville) – Warm apple spiced wine paired with Apple Crisp!
